Science Results from Encounter 10
Encounter 10 WISPR-I/WISPR-O composite movie. Each frame has been projected onto a Helio-projective cartesian (HPC; Thompson, 2006; Thompson & Wei, 2010) grid to show the physical fields of view of both detectors together. The x-axis is HPLN-ZPN (longitude) and the y-axis is HPLT-ZPN (latitude). The frames have been processed using an state-of-the art contrast-enhancement algorithm to reveal the rich dynamics of the coronal activity during the Encounter. For details see Howard et al., 2022 (submitted).”
NOTE: The animation shown above is in the mp4 format for web browser playback, but with the disadvantage of some loss of quality. We strongly recommend downloading the original 103MB .mpg file for the best quality version of this image sequence.
